I'm an Employer

Employers have duties under the law regarding reporting and also have policies for how the organization views substance use and mental health disorders when they affect employees. The Professional Recovery Network of Oregon recommends that employers educate their supervisors to identify employees who may benefit from help, education staff to reduce stigma and encourage support for recovery, and offer health benefits that cover substance use and mental health disorders.

Edwin Schneider, RPh, has expertise developed over many years in recovery and as pharmacist. As the former manager of the Pharmacy Recovery Network at the Oregon Board of Pharmacy he can provide guidance on a wide range of issues. Contact Edwin by email >>
