About the Professional Recovery Network
of Oregon
The Professional Recovery Network of Oregon (PRN) is a collaborative, volunteer program linking licensed professionals struggling with substance use or mental health disorders to critical recovery information and resources. Modeled after the Oregon Pharmacy Recovery Network, PRN expanded from this initial focus on Oregon pharmacists to now include any licensed profession. Current profession partners include pharmacists, nurses and dentists as well as a growing relationship with attorneys.
This collaboration allows us to build a growing network of recovery support resources to speed the recovery of licensed professionals while ensuring the safety of those they serve.
Our Mission
The mission of PRN is to reach fellow colleagues before substance use or mental health problems cause impairment or before impairment becomes a danger to the community and, thus, a licensing problem. The role of PRN is strictly one of referral and rehabilitative support only and is divorced from any disciplinary aspect of a licensee’s practice.
